Webinar: Basel 3.1 - From Implementation to Future-Proof Regulatory Reporting
Date: Wednesday 23rd September 2026
Duration: 45 minutes
Format: Live Webinar
We were joined by Kira Snow, Regulatory Reporting Expert at Suade, and Judy Zhu, Head of Regulatory Reporting at Bank of China, and Denise Gordon, Director of Prudential Risk Regulatory Change at Societe Generale for a practical look at what Basel 3.1 meant for capital and market-risk calculations, data and reporting processes, and what "reporting-ready" actually looked like in practice.
The session covered:
- What was changing under Basel 3.1, and why it was creating challenges across Finance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting
- Where banks really stood in their implementation journey, and which aspects had proved harder than expected
- What needed to be in place: clear data definitions, reliable lineage from source data to reported figures, and strong controls around change
- How to build a reporting model that lasted beyond the deadline, and what lessons from Basel 3.1 should carry into the next wave of regulatory change
This taster session led into Suade's full Basel 3.1 panel at the RegTech Forum on 6 October 2026, Guildhall, London.
This session was designed for regulatory reporting, risk and finance professionals at banks preparing for Basel 3.1.
