IReF and the Data-Driven Future of Risk Reporting

The ECB's Integrated Reporting Framework (IReF) is an initiative to streamline and harmonise statistical reporting by banks in the euro area. It aims to replace several existing ECB statistical datasets with a single, comprehensive framework, reducing the reporting burden on banks while improving data quality and comparability. The IReF is scheduled to go live in 2029, with a pilot reporting phase in 2028.
