- Industry collaboration: Mutual incentives across the financial ecosystem are essential for driving real progress in Open Finance.
- API development and data standardisation: FiDA presents a significant opportunity to refine API development and establish universal data standards.
- Citizen education and data empowerment: Educating the public about the value of their data and ensuring they are comfortable with data sharing is vital. Empowering citizens through knowledge and informed consent is key to the success of FiDA.
- Risk analysis and data governance: Addressing customer protection concerns, cybersecurity threats, and data breaches is crucial. Collaboration towards robust data governance and cybersecurity standards will be essential to mitigate these risks.
Diana also highlighted the urgent need for universal data standards to ensure the consistent and secure implementation of FiDA across the EU.
